Rick the Lesser

Rick Santorum’s meteoric rise was perhaps inevitable – after all, who can resist a sweater vest?  But seriously, in the GOP’s desperation to find anybody other than Romney, Santorum is the natural candidate for voters to flock to . . . that is, after Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain (really, Herman Cain?), Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul all were tried and rejected.  Santorum is truly the last available date to ask to the dance, but sometimes it’s better to be available than desirable.
